ā€‹[M] The Welcome Mat spreads out at the entrance to Matjiesfonteinā€˜s memories

Unfortunately this is not a bike related trip report, but would still like to share it with all of you. We had to do a "car swap" for one of my friends who's brother and his wife came down from Welkom and we met them in Beaufort Wes. We decided to make the most of this road trip in the cage and went to visit the Majestic little town of Matjiesfontein.

Karoo Kinkels

My Epic adventure ā€“ a journey to all emotions!!! *

My Epic adventure – a journey to all emotions!!!

Roundtrip: 16 - 18 June 2016
Home to Oasis to Middelpos and back again
943 kms!

What a roller coaster ride this turned out to be. Some parts I wish to forget, and hence the delay in speaking out about it. I just couldn't get myself to accept that the discipline I've come to love so much, and thought was all sunshine and roses, has brought me back down to earth with a serious thump!

First solo trip - well almost (completed)

After weeks of scouring the web for suitable routes and countless hours spent tweaking the selected route on Mapsource - I wanted to find a route that avoided the N1, N2 and R62 yet was suitable for a "solo" ride - Adrienne and I finally set off on Friday morning enroute to Wilderness.

Roadies Sutherland Winter Trip Report.
