Annual Tour: Oudtshoorn Kleinplaas dual ride

It’s that time of the year again; the BMW Motorcycle Club Cape’s annual tour will be to Kleinplaas Holiday Resort, Oudtshoorn on the 26th to 28th October 2007. (Venue used for the BMW ABBG in 2005) Oudtshoorn is very centrally situated and offers some stunning out rides. Off road to De Hell and routes via Meiring’s Poort or Robinson Pass, spring to mind. Bookings are open. We have booked 20 x 4 bed standard open plan chalets at R163.50 per night per person and 12 x 4 bed luxury open plan chalets at R186.00 per night per person. Overnight Ride to 8 Bells Hotel, Mosselbay - Dirt or Tar - 08 Feb 2020

It's time for a ride to the Southern Cape :-)  The BMW Motorrad Club Cape will be visiting Mosselbay for an overnight stay at the Eight Bells Mountain Inn Hotel.  Our trip is planned for the 8th of February this year, and there will be both on-road and off-road options for you to ride.

Availability is very limited, so members and their guests will need to book as soon as possible. (Booking closes on Monday 3rd of February or as soon as all rooms are booked, whichever comes first.)

Club Off road Ride : Cederberg Oasis : 19-20 October : 2 ride groups

Come along and join us on a nice relaxed ride to the fantastic Cederberg Oasis in the Cederberg Mountains.

19 - 20 October

There will be 2 groups.

Group 1) The beginners will be led by Rouen Williams who will take you to the Oasis at a nice easy pace.

Group 2) I will take the more experienced riders on a slightly longer route that will be pillion friendly.

Overnight Ride to Arniston Spa Hotel Dirt / Tar - 24 August 2019

It's nearly that time of year again when the BMW Mororrad Club Cape visits Arniston again, for an overnight stay in the luxurious Arniston Spa Hotel.  Our trip is planned for the 24th of August this year, and there will be both tar and dirt options for you to ride.  Routes and departure details will be communicated to all participants closer to the departure date.

Availability is limited, so members and their guests will need to book soon. (Booking closes on Friday 16th of August or as soon as all rooms are booked, whichever comes first.)

As beautiful as Rooiberg Lodge is , it is the people that make a weekend like this :) .This weekend was another winner from the BMW motorcycle club.  Thanks Geoff Russell for being a fantastic and fun ride leader.  whatever gets thrown at him , Geoff stays cool, calm and collected.

Waking up on a Monday morning after a weekend like the one we just had, it feels almost insignificant to have to get dressed in clean clothes, drink coffee from a dust free coffee mug and put on a computer to download emails and enter the adult world of a routine based day. Just yesterday we were covered in dust, never minded by bad hair and dirty clothes, yet the feeling was one that money couldn’t buy and the thrill was child-like. Today we adult again.

BMW Club - Breakfast ride - 18 March 2018

Come and join me, with your partner and your fellow Club mates, on a nice easy Tar ride via Klapmuts, Franschoek, Villiersdorp & Botriver for a lovely breakfast in Klienmond.

The return ride will be along the Coast road to Gordons Bay.

We will meet at the normal meeting place at the Plattekloof Engen Garage at the Pick n Pay Ctr in Plattekloof Road.

We meet any time from 07.45 and we leave at 08.15.

Coffee is available at the Wimpy while you wait.

Visitors on any make of bikes welcome.
