Trip manifesto

We have to have fun up to the last minute – our holiday is not over until we ride into the garage

We will explore new roads and new town, meet new people and see new things along the way

Despite the seemingly hard work of the trip, it will be a trip of rest. We plan to stop, breath, explore and spend time together and with people we will meet and connect with on the way. We will drink in the sights and smells and dreams of our land.

Our road trip will take us on national highways and back-road by-ways. The trip was planned to cross the country and travel through towns that we’ve not been to before. We will venture off the beaten track, meet people and will not stay in hotels or main centers.

April 2011

In April we bought a bike for Sunday afternoon rides but within a week we had an idea, a dream and two friends who were on the same page. 6 months later we are ready to – plan in place, route mapped out, fully kitted and trained.

Ready to rock and roll

Our bikes are serviced, our new tires are on, our panniers are packed, our international licences are ready. Any advice form hardy adventurists will be appreciated!!
