It's time for a ride to the Southern Cape :-)  The BMW Motorrad Club Cape will be visiting Mosselbay for an overnight stay at the Eight Bells Mountain Inn Hotel.  Our trip is planned for the 8th of February this year, and there will be both on-road and off-road options for you to ride.

Availability is very limited, so members and their guests will need to book as soon as possible. (Booking closes on Monday 3rd of February or as soon as all rooms are booked, whichever comes first.)

Considering the fact that our year-end function takes place on Saturday evening, a rather undemocratic and unilateral decision was taken to veer slightly off the path with regards to the conventional breakfast ride.

I seriously doubt if anyone would want to get up bright and early, so we will be meeting at 09h30 at Donford Motorrad Stellenbosch for a 10h00 departure.

Who is up for an overnight stay on top of the mountain on 16th November?

We will ride on the railway service road to Darling, then on gravel roads to Hopefield and Aurora before the 15km ride up the mountain to Mountain Mist.  The mad woman at Mountain Mist is now gone, and the new owner is a mensch.

We will stay in the cottages at Mountain Mist, chill in the bush pool and have a braai in the evening (bring your own chop 'n dop).  On Sunday we ride back on dirt to Malmesbury where we join the N7 to head home.

Come along and join us on a nice relaxed ride to the fantastic Cederberg Oasis in the Cederberg Mountains.

19 - 20 October

There will be 2 groups.

Group 1) The beginners will be led by Rouen Williams who will take you to the Oasis at a nice easy pace.

Group 2) I will take the more experienced riders on a slightly longer route that will be pillion friendly.

2019 Annual BMW Club weekend run to Sutherland

It was that time of the year for the annual winter run to Sutherland and after having done it for the first time in 2018, it was a run I was not going to miss.
