Considering the fact that our year-end function takes place on Saturday evening, a rather undemocratic and unilateral decision was taken to veer slightly off the path with regards to the conventional breakfast ride.

I seriously doubt if anyone would want to get up bright and early, so we will be meeting at 09h30 at Donford Motorrad Stellenbosch for a 10h00 departure.

2019 Annual BMW Club weekend run to Sutherland

A special thanks and recognition to all the what’s app contributors whose photos I have used.

Group 4 Off road Intermediate on the way out and Group 3 on the return home.

It was that time of the year for the annual winter run to Sutherland and after having done it for the first time in 2018, it was a run I was not going to miss.

Soos dit winter raak raak my ry ook al minder, want ek is glad nie n winter mens nie omrede in die somer kan jy vir jou ligter aan trek maar as jy n lyf het soos ek kan jy hom nie dukker aan trek nie.  Mens lyk later soos n oorryste Muffin wat in n cupcake pannietjie gebak is.

So word Wouter se ride geadverteer en dit lyk baie aanloklik.  Ek wou nog altyd kleinplasie besoek het en eintlik is dit n skande as jy op Ashton groot geword het en nog glad nie daar was nie en tog so baie deur Worcester gereis het en nog steeds doen.

Those wanting to ride tomorrow, please be at Engen Winelands One Stop North (outgoing) at 07h30 tomorrow for a mystery breakfast ride. 

It is such a mystery that not even the ride leader knows where we are heading....

You are welcome to join us for an EARLY Breakfast ride to Anura Wine Estate!

We will be meeting at Engen Plattekloof Villlage (https://goo.gl/maps/UeZVPDsJR8F2) at 06h30 to depart at 07h00

Our route to Anura Wine estate will take us via the scenic Swartland and a bit of Boland.

Route to Venue:

On Friday 2 November 2018, 12 bikes and 17 members set off at various times for our weekend trip to the Southern Cape with our base being Osler Place in Still Bay. Tour leader was Wouter de Vos with John Carr acting as sweeper. 

As I am not one for writing long reports I have made a 2 part u tube video of our trip highlights.

As it’s been a while since our last visit to this bay of the sleeping beauty, we’ve decided to make it a 2-nighter and have a relaxed weekend. If you have the need for a break away to the coast with a combination of a little bit of the Klein Karoo, this is the weekend you’ve been waiting for.  Lots of fresh air, the rolling waves and the peaceful views of this fishermen’s town.  There will be ample GS time, but also enough time to relax, go for a walk and enjoy the charming seaside village with its harbour and fishing community.

We will meet at the Engen Garage Plattekloof village at 12:30 for 12:45 departure.

She was the founder of Lady Bikers SA.

She was very sick the past 4 months and will be truly missed!
