Considering the fact that our year-end function takes place on Saturday evening, a rather undemocratic and unilateral decision was taken to veer slightly off the path with regards to the conventional breakfast ride.

I seriously doubt if anyone would want to get up bright and early, so we will be meeting at 09h30 at Donford Motorrad Stellenbosch for a 10h00 departure.

Our all tar route of about 85km will take us along the scenic Clarence Drive past Kleinmond, to the Honingklip Brewery and Restaurant.

Here we can all enjoy a snack platter and beer tasting for our own account.

Please see www.honingklip.co.za for information on what they have to offer in terms of menu. A beer tasting with 4 small glasses (total of about 500ml) costs R35.

After a good relaxing “kuier” there, we will have two options for the road home.

1. Offroad:

A route of about 160km, via the Highlands Road (gravel), Van der Stell Pass (gravel), past Theewaterskloof Dam and back over Franschoek Pass and Helshoogte Pass

2. All tar:

Tar riders can travel home via

• Clarence Drive (85km)
• Sir Lowrys Pass (67km) or
• Via the R43, Villiersdorp, Theewaterskloof Dam, Franschoek Pass and Helshoogte (120km)

And that dear friends, will conclude our riding Calendar for the year.

Wouter de Vos will be the ride leader, and as usual all brands of bikes and non-club members are most welcome to join the ride!
