Archive of BMW Motorrad Club Cape (2006 - 2019)

It’s Elim’s 50^th anniversary on 12 October and they have asked the BMW Club to attend. We plan to arrange the usual goodie bag shop beforehand and also Henk has promised to make up sweetie parcels for the kids, so we will do more or less what we usually do, except there are a whole host of things planned for the day there.

Rendezvous : The Engen One Stop on the N2 Outgoing just before Somerset West.

We are planning to go to Elim  to deliver supplies and entertain the kids on 8 June.

 A group of people will do the Makro shop the week before the 8 June ride and prepare the sweet parcels. 

The BMWMCC club is doing another Charity Run to Elim. 

There will be several rides, both tar and off-road, to Elim - something to suit all riders.  Other non-BMW bikes and visitors are welcome!

The actual "run" will be 14 April 2012.

Whilst we have not yet officially departed, the ride has begun with the final preparations having taken place over the weekend.

What started off as a thought (Lets do something on our rides) developed into a cause (Elim / Mizpah School and Home for FAS Children) and got a Champion (Anne) who has worked tirelessly over the last few weeks keeping the momentum going.

The BMWMCCC Members have been fantastic in their response to a call for donations.

There is nothing more rewarding than the human Smile!! This picture was so rewarding for me, to see all the hard work and commitment that especially Tanya, and all her workers had put in to this day!! A Smile can last forever !!! A smile of true blessed Happiness comes from knowing you have accomplished Much: The joy of the children was better than the joy on Tanya's face I actually don't know how many we ended up being at Elim. But what I do know is all that went there, soon found out why we had to be there.

Last year this trip had people promising they would do it again - and that it is a must-do for everybody with a soul. Accompany Tanya Rossouw on a charity run to a school for the disabled in Elim. Elim visit - 24 May 2008
Once again Tanya lifted the hearts and spirits of many.

The off-road group will be lead by [http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/user/JR JR] while [http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/user/Padlangs Padlangs] agreed to take the road guys via Bredasdorp into Elim. The purpose of the trip is to deliver some of the goods purchased with the KFM & Old Mutual prize money. We are supplying, amongst others... After a very late Friday evening and a very early rise on Saturday morning, we hit the road to meet the rest of the guys at the Firlands Shell Garage. I must admit that going to Elim in my Honda FRV was not as exciting as going on the bike.
