Club breakfast ride: 12 March 2017 - UPDATED

Hi fellow club members

It seems like Sunday will be the perfect day weather wise to get your motorrad out of the garage and to take it for a ride. Please feel free to join myself and some fellow riders to a All Tar breakfast ride to the Dam Fine Cafe on the De Eike farm in the beautiful Slanghoek Valley. You are more than welcome to bring a friend who rides a different brand of motorcycle to join us on this ride.

Departure Details:
- Meeting Point: Engen Garage, Plattekloof Village, Plattekloof

10 Passes, 1 Day Circus

 10 PASSES – 1 DAY CIRCUS

we are a group of friends that does short breakfast runs on Sunday mornings, we are the Old Timers...still sparking after all these years.

We started our trip this morning 7:00 with one rule…you are responsible for the rider behind you

We decided on an extended breakfast run for a change, not having an idea what we let ourselves in for, we even made t-shits for the trip. Let’s do a 10 passes trip they said, it will be fun they said. If only we knew.

NEW Members Breakfast ride: 6 March 2016

This will be an opportunity for new members to meet like-minded BMW riders and to meet up with possible new riding buddies.  As it not always possible for all to attend club meetings on a regular basis, we would like to introduce new club members to each other. Other club members will also be welcome to join on the day and I’m confident you will feel at ease with their enthusiasm as most just looking for any excuse to bond with their dream machines and to just ride.

Mr. Badger Leads his first Breakfast Run

A great ride. My first as club captain. I practised all of yesterday, doing the route via Du Toit's and via Bain's. I decided to take the group via Bain's (less freeway riding) and decided to take the scenic route through Monte Vista and Durbanville - an area I do not have a passport for. We took the Conterman's kloof road, which entered Durbanville from an angle I did not practise or know about. So for about 5 minutes I was lost... Then I recognized a traffic light and realized I should have turned left a block ago. Brian Messenger also realized this and rode alongside me to 'guide' me back onto the straight and narrow.
