Hi all GS Boffins,

My nephew is looking to buy a bike and has asked my advice on this bike.

I  have no personal experience with this model so I'm hoping for some club feedback.

Anyone able to help my nephew.

Regards......Deon

In my opinion.... yes.

Seeing as it has a service history.

Good price for an absolutely excellent bike.  Mr.Badger has 190 000km on the clock, and has been offroad and done wild things.  And the engine is sweet - my mechanic raves about what a sweet ride the 1150 is even at high mileage.

And you won't believe how many old-timers tell me that their 1150GS was the best bike they had ever owned.

In fact, don't buy it.  Crap bike.  What was that guy's number again?...

Good value, good bike. Well looked after. Make sure it has never been in an accident.

I would go for it!

My 1150GS has 121000km on the clock, troublefree.

And plenty touring on dirt roads. Even a few marks to prove it

Deon, I bought my 1150GS with 125k on the clock, since then I've had trouble-free motoring, little to go wrong, am now on 167k, with minimal upkeep costs, these motors do seem to go on for ever, and the 1150 is/was a much-loved variant, so it does seem like a fiar deal!

Cheers
