I am looking for a service supplier that can fold Perspex.
The objective is a sleeve to slide a 15.6 laptop into.
Have made  a felt sock for it, now to give it hard-case protection from inadvertent knocks during transit.
any ideas of  vendor, not interested in self help, looking for a proper solution.

Thule and others do not make a 15.6' hard-shell case.

Also want to keep the profile as slim as possible.

The only problem with hindsight, is you don't see it coming!

AcrylForm has made many windscreens for motorbikes. Maybe still doing it.

Thanks All,
Acryl Form did a great job.

Traveling alot by plane and on the bike is a hard life for a laptop.
There is no hard-shell case today that really gives the edges of a laptop much protection, not at a reasonable price.

My laptop, after two years of very careful handling nevertheless picked up several edge knocks to the hinge and sides.

Despite care, knocks seemed to accumulate

The hinge, edges and corners all bear testimony to the lack of protection regular laptop cases actually offer.

So I had Acryl Form in Blackheath, Cape Town, South Africa make me a perspex slip-on case to remedy this.

Annie n I made the felt envelope for the laptop,

and the case now will protect my laptop from those knocks.

The dims are very laptop specific, and it is worth adding 3mm to L, B & H to allow for the felt cover and afford a snug fit.

4mm Perspex is a bit overkill, my next ones will be 2mm perspex

The Perspex case acts as a platform base for the laptop when working, and future cases can have laser cut holes in appropriate places to both reduce mass and provide vents to allow the laptop fan to work more efficiently.

All in all, a very successful solution.
