Handgrips wear quickly when you ride off tar or through technical riding.
Don't wait for them to wear out. You can protect them now.
You can retain your bike's value or re-juvenate worn grips while protecting them.
By sleeving them in a genuine rubber grip.
CAUTION: your handgrips will be ±3mm bigger in diameter and it will take a few rides toget fully accustomed, afterwhich you may never remember how they were before.
Will the heating in the grip still perform?
Yes, as before, no difference.
Go over to your preferred sports shop and ask for the cricket bat section an choose yourself a new cricket bat hand grip sleeve.
Mr.Badger has padded hockey-stick tape wound onto his grips. It is cool blue, and the grip is grippy and soft and bigger - which suits me better.
The advantage of the cricket bat rubber is that it is thinner, so the heated elements work through it. I had to cut away most of the old grip before I put mine on.
Does this not void your warranty???
The answer is no.
Not if it was a dealer that does this as well.
As for the pink, it iwas tempting.
Annie's hand went this way and that before settling on yellow as her bike is yellow.
Myself, pink was an option as it makes the bike unmistakable, but then I do want anonomity so prefer to stay with the feather and hide amongst the crowd.
You might as well paint your whole bike pink. Went to pick someone up at the airport and on the second floor of the parking, in front of the lifts and security guard, was your bike. It had your jacket on the seat, and ostrich-feather helmet. Could not have been anybody else.
Curious that you would leave your stuff unsecured at the airport like that.
neat trick.
pity the tip came far too late for me to save my grips.
I purchased some grips form trac-mac for aobut 150.00 but they're shorter than the BMW ones.
Looks kinda weird but does the job.

That was probably my bike. Andy owns the spot on the first floor
. . vir my nie gewerk nie.
We have the cricket bat grips in stock and fit for 2L bottle of coke
Now that's what i am talking about!!!!
