As beautiful as Rooiberg Lodge is , it is the people that make a weekend like this :) .This weekend was another winner from the BMW motorcycle club.  Thanks Geoff Russell for being a fantastic and fun ride leader.  whatever gets thrown at him , Geoff stays cool, calm and collected.

( well , mostly lol )

As usual most of the fun is getting there on wonderful rain-free roads chosen by Geoff ( with some detours ;) ) And boy is it worth getting there. Rooiberg Lodge is a jewel nestled in a ring of mountains. An unexpected oases in the desert.  They have the BEST water ever from their own natural spring 15 minutes walk away from the Lodge. I would go back just for the water, besides of course the many other treasures. 

Thanks to my riding group , the more experienced riders aka the bigger hooligans and we did have such fun following our leader King Geoff :) 

You were awesome to ride with and to kuier with, although Group 2 was not too bad either hehe. ;) lol 

But  , Group 2 had something that we did not have and that was two amazing Queen Braaiers, Marinda and Magda who braaied for over 35 of us  . What a treat .The meat was perfectly succulent.  Thanks also to charming Gary van As , making sure we were all happy with eating and drinking and Frikkie who kept our bikes happy.  Ian was the Awesome Ride captain of group 2 and it was good to see you, Tristan and other old riding buddies again . 

A great weekend all in all .
