A huge thank you to everyone who sent messages, emails and visited me in hospital.

What an amazing bunch - I have no other way to express the fact that your concern and friendship is higly valued.

I'll be out of hosptial tomorrow morning thank heavens.

Thanks again to you all.

OK change of plan.  They just removed the drains and the surgeon says go home on Sunday.

Oh well this is a great hopsital, so looking on the bright side, especially as one of the visitors just dropped off a case of wine :-) .

Cheers all and thanks again.

If you can dream it you can do it!

Add 12 hours to Mike's visiting hours - i.e. 15h00-16h00 and 19h00-20h00 - I'm sure most will still be asleep otherwise.

Found Peter in good spirits already doing physio - doing a few laps round the hospital's corridors under the watchful eye of the physiotherapist.

He also have a small ice maker which circulates cold air (water?) through the high-tech leg brace. Looks small enough to fit in a topbox. This could be the next big thing for riding in summer!

There are so many problems in this world. Luckily there's a wristband available for almost all of them.

Julie rode his leg stukkend at Atlantis because he didn't look left, right, then left again while crossing the busy highway into the dunes.  Had to have an op to harvest some ligament from his hamstring to string together his knee.
