If you were lucky enough, you probably saw the "events section". Sunday is the run to Paddagang, in Tulbagh. The following picture will either convince you to come along, or ... How many people dream of going to the Alps, or some other snow capped mountain. This is the view on your way towards Tulbagh (Put on some long-johns!!) Who needs Switzerland ?Who needs Switzerland ? Tulbagh is an absolutely stunning "old" town. It feels like an over sized museum. Have a look at the beautiful Paddagang buildings. PaddagangPaddagang For the fair weather riders, SABC forcasts rain for Saturday and only slightly overcast weather for Sunday. I can't remember when they last got something right, but this one time I am going to believe them - until my boots fill up with rain. Talbagh is hosting a "Christmas in winter" festival this weekend - if you intend to stay later and take in some more of this town.

Aah Padlangs You prompted me to make two new changes. See the home page - Upcoming Events, and 'Recent Comments'. Both will make your life easier to find those mysterious hidden referrals to you ;-) (BTW, did you notice that I also fixed smileys?) I even put in the 'cheers with a beer' (to get it, just enter : then the word 'beer' then another colon, without spaces or this other instruction text).

Great work Charles! I was pleasantly surprised to find a very user-friendly and 'navigatable' home page this morning! Thanks! I still find it weird not to see the title as the first few words of a posting. I would like to see the title = topic/thread.

Thanks GK :-) BTW, you can also do smileys in the traditional geek way (with brackets and semicolons etc). Just make sure the smiley has spaces on either side of it (and is not part of a sentence like this:). Also, do not put a colon on a new line as part of a smiley, because the wiki software treats it as a special character and you end up with  the way you did. I fixed it by putting a space in front of it so that it became  Re your comment titles - there seems to be two options: # You type in a subject, or # The system takes the first few words of your post. I could program a bit for different behaviour, but I am loath to go down that track just yet.
