Opstal - Rawsonville

We did a "recce" ride yesterday. It is a nice 90 km ride to get to the Opstal. Stunning setting. I did get a bit of a shock when we walked in though - this is a seriously upper class venue ($$).
We bit the bullet and ordered breakfast - without asking to see a menu. Coffee with a little snack on the side!! Then the breakfast - a huge plate with bacon, eggs, tomato, sausage, toast and a whole assortment of cheese and jam. Then the big surprize, all of this for less than R50 per person. I am not sure if this is the same menu that Cliff is arranging for us, lets hope so.

The scenery is absolutely stunning. On the way back Greta pointed out that Spring has sprung. Get yourselves ready for a visual feast!!!

OK, so now we know where we are going for breakfast on Sunday, how about your input for an "after" ride? I have some ideas, but would prefer if the members got involved and excited with us. :) If the weather is anything like last Sunday, man-o-man, it will be stunning.
Let's here YOUR ideas for an after ride.

I'm not sure exactly which route you took to get there.
But you could head for Villiersdorp from there, then Franschoek pass, then Helshoogte pass and then through Stellenbosch, the scenic route back to Durbanville.
Or take a turn through Robertson.
Yes, if the weather is as stunning as yesterday, then you could basically go anywhere - lots of stuff in full bloom....

Helderberg Kom - Wie ry saam Sondag?
SomersetWes/Strand/Gordonsbaai se ouens ..... ons maak ons eie groep en sluit aan by die Klub se groep aan die voet van Helshoogte (net verby die laaste verkeerslig).
Die roete verder is tans beplan om te wees: Franschoek, Villiersdorp, Rawsonville.
Ons vertrek Sondag om 0830 vanaf die BP garage naby Lord Charles. Daarvandaan ry ons direk na Stellenbosch en wag die Kaapse groep in. Stellenbosch bikers is natuurlik welkom om ook aan te sluit.
Ek het met Chris Padlangs gereel sodat ons die bymekaarkom kan koordineer.
Ek sal graag wil sien dat ons klomp in die Helderberg Kom meer gereeld saam dinge doen, veral om as groep saam met die Klub op rides te gaan.

Daar is 'n klomp ouens wat Sat?Son Struisbaai toe gaan vir 'n oorslaap. Donford het iets met reelings te doen.
Ek verstaan daat was Dinsdag al 85 wat saamgaan. Die Herberg is die venue.
Dus sal van ons wat nog altyd in die Helderberg bly nie Sondag kan saamry Opstal toe nie. Pity, maar my RT hou van die slap draaie Napier toe...
Geniet die trip.
