***DATE CHANGED*** Members Choice "Mid Winter's" Ride - 23 June 2013
Join me for a dirty trundle through the Winelands on the shortest day of the year. This will be a relaxed & easy going dirt road ride that will suit riders of all capabilities.
We'll start at the Winelands N1 Engen, travel via Hermon, Wellington and Paarl before stopping for a pizza lunch. Then we'll finish off with a circuit around Durbanville to the Countermanskloof road and onto the N7
- When : SUNDAY 23th JUNE
- Meet : Winelands Engen 1 Stop on the N1 outbound, 3kms beyond Exit 34, Oostenberg off-ramp
- Please fill your tanks here so we dont need to have a petrol stop enroute
- Also let your tires down after youve filled up as we get onto dirt within the first 3km
- Time : Meet at 0730 for 0745 for coffee
- Pre ride talk : 0815
- Depart : 0830

I'm going to wait for the roads to dry out a bit before checking out the route. So should have the final details available for you sometime next week.

Tried to recce the route again yesterday, but with a battery failure, slow puncture and the zumo leading us astray, I still have not ridden all the roads that I plan to take you on. So please wait for the next update.

What a great ride we had today. Was exactly as advertised, relaxed off tar ride through the winelands. Who knew that there were so many gravel roads without going further than Riebeek Kasteel, Wellington and Paarl.
Exellent planning, great company. Thank you to all that joined the ride and especially Bob for organising such a great outing.
Can't wait for your nrxt ride.
Thanks to the great bunch of guys who braved the early morning chill, to join me yesterday. It turned into a perfect day for riding.
Great to meet some new faces and there was ample time in the tea and lunch stops to get to know each other.
