I am looking for a lower front mudguard for my 1150GSA.
I had a great trip over December (report in progress). Unfortunately the trip included an altercation with a tree in the very rough Michels pass near Hogsback.
Die fiets voel so'n bietjie haasbek op die oomblik
Ek begin maar soek by die Forum, mens weet nooit - dalk het iemand hier 'n modderskerm wat ek kan oorneem.
I would try ACME bike salvage, up in the South of JHB...
then try Brad, will try and look up his number for you...
then try the Motorcycle Graveyard in Knysna, lots of BMW bikes being stripped down...
Cheers
Chris & team
Thanks Chris.
The nr I have for Brad is 074-115 5555. I am not sure if it is correct because the person that answers is hard to understand (eisch) and is in a very very noisy environment. I will phone again later today, maybe better then.
Knysna & ACME does not have any in stock.

where did you found one FGK?
I saw an old (mid 2016) heads-up on Wild Dogs forum, posted by Chris (Flying Brick), that an 1150GS was broken up.
I followed up on the lead & found a lower front mudguard as well as a headlight at a fraction of the new price, all in Durbanville. (The glass on my existing headlight has been broken since I bought the bike). The mudguard required some minor repair, but it turned out perfect and fits 100%.
What is amazing is that this gentleman, Neville Murray, restores/customises motorbikes (BMW and others). He has a comprehensive garage/workshop at home. I saw some rims and loose spokes - yes, he does re-spoking of a rim, it is not an easy job and it takes all day to do one rim.
He showed me his collection of beautiful motorbikes (twenty plus), mostly BMW boxers.
Which is his favourite? No single one in particular . . . touring with wife on the any of the RTs or solo on the 1100GS or rough riding on the 250 scrambler.
