As it became increasingly clear that NZ immigration was not likely to accept our application without our having gone to see the place first, we have been re-stoking our dream of building accommodation on our farm above aurora.

Thus hatched the idea of a bike trip that would overnight at eco-friendly alternative places as part of our search for ideas and techniques to use on the farm. We would also visit Julie's parents in Port Alfred.

For the last 2years dec/jan I`ve gone on a ride,the 1st through the Karoo from Villersdorp to Graaf Reinet, the 2nd Villersdorp via Willowmore through Baviaanskloof,Stytlerville to Neeu Bethesda, this year thanks to Cheesy the E-Cape.Packed at last I finally left at 2.30pm on thurs. there to Albertinia..O-nite(wet from Sir Lowry`s onwards)From there to George tar(Karoo wet).RHS heated handgrip dead, no spares so forward via Outeniquia pass to Aberdeen- Graaff Reinett- Middelburg: O-nite.
