“Six o’clock!” I exclaimed after hearing this was the time I needed to get up the following morning. After recently finishing exams at university, I didn’t see myself getting up at 6am for anything less than a house fire. However; on the 11^th of June 2011, there I was, shock and horror, waking up at 5:45 to my alarm bell. It was time for the Engelsman se Berge adventure!

As usual I hauled on enough kit until I looked like a character out of the Transformer’s movie and made sure I had packed everything I needed for our overnight stay near Clanwilliam.
