I have every intention of witnessing the record attempt, so yes, we can ride up together!

I am, in fact, contemplating a "recce" ride to the pan some time over the next 12 - 13 months (probably next June) now that I know of the 2015 target.

You are on Cecil - for the recce as well.

Depending on the dates and the number of riders making the trip to Hakskeenpan, you guys are welcome to sleep over with us in Upington.

Hi guys

I was up on the pan last weekend doing a survey for the event next year - the GS was a dream except I broke the wind deflector when I hit a hole I failed to notice! We had three bikes and a quad doing the entire track.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the bikers up there during the runs.

1. The car will debut on 17 Nov 2015 at Newquay Aerohub, Cornwall, for 200mph trials
2. Advance party will set up base at Hakskeen Pan in Apr/May 2016
3. Hakskeen Pan trials probably from Jul 2016
4. 1000mph attempt dependant on above trials Oct 2016 / Jul 2017?

Not entirely surprisingly, the project schedule has been adjusted again.

The SSC made its debut a week ago, with the 800mph record attempt at Hakskeen Pan now set for the weekend of Sat 15 Oct 2016.

Bloodhound has arrived, finally!
And it's actually running. The only downside is that it is not yet open to the general public.
The 1000 mph record attempt, which is expected to be open to the public, is planned for about this time next year.
