Any ride leader or aspirant ride leader or interested persons.

Booking essential for handout preparation and catering.

This is a must do training session if you want to be listed as a qualified event marshal for road and off-road sports events.

This is very useful if you lead group rides or would like to learn what the requirements are for leading a group ride.

This training program has grown from both interest within the club and as a result of requirements from event organisers to have access to booking motorcycle operators as event marshals.

Marhsalling is not just about being good on a bike and riding a course.

It is a discipline and carries enormous responsibility.

We would like to field a pool of marshals of a high standard, endorsed by the club, to uphold the reputation of providing a very strong field of good Marshals for events.

We have earned respect on the Burger Fiets Toer, sundry cycling events and 6 years running for the Pick n Pay Argus Cycle Tour.

Enquiries are now coming in from other organisations.

Leading a club ride too is not as fun and simple as it appears, you work hard to be the clean rider on a gravel road.

Come and learn what it means to lead a club ride.

Hi Andy, I would have loved to attend, but I am leaving for Namibia this Friday morning, and will be riding in the mountains south of Karibib on Tuesday 13 August!

So, kindly excuse me?  (if anyone is interested to join me to Windhoek, I will be going up the West Coast on Friday, quick visit to Britannia Bay, then hug the coast all the way to the Olifants River, then cut across to the N7, sleep in famous Garies Hotel Friday night.  Saturday I will do the Studer Pass, dirt all the way to Kamieskroon, then across the N7 to Soebatsfontein, Wildeperdehoek Pass, and via Messum Pass to Springbok, to sleep in Grunau that night. Dirt via Seeheim to Mariental on Sunday, and then tar to Windhoek on Monday.....)

God gave you a gift of 86 400 seconds to-day.  Have you used one to say Thank You?

That was a very informative and useful session.  Thanks for taking the initiative and making it happen.  I forgot to get a download of the notes (and ended up leaving my notes behind (doh).  Is there any way of getting an electronic copy of the notes?

Following several requests, I will make opportunities to practice the crew guard, as well as incorporate it into Ride Leader discipline.

I will ask if one of our crew can post a clip of the crew guard in action during a real operation or exercise.

I know there are several, just need to find one that works for our type of training to post on YouTube.

I have also just mailed soft copy  course notes to the candidates that attended.
