I will try and write a bit shorter, as I think it gets a bit long sometimes, and fewer pictures, as it takes hours to filter and edit.
Yet what is the best way to post if I will do the posts over several days? Add it to the bottom (or top) of the body of the existing post or add them below the post as comments between other comments?
Sometimes it's easier to read a little every day than getting bombarded with an entire report (not to mention I don't have that kind of time to do it all at once).
Advice, please? Thanks.
Jinx
I would say
a) no problem in posting a trip report in short bits (episodes/sections...call them what you like). Often time dictates that you do it that way.
b) do add them at the end of the report itself. In that way you end with a single coherent report. And the reader can easily see where you added new post.
c) a very long report does take time to read --- some readers like it that way, others maybe not. Most important is what you like to do. If it is a long story, well then you need to tell the story.
d) Lots of pictures with comments is much easier to read.
Bottom line is --- do write and post the trip report!
It shows you had a good/enjoyable/eventful trip and the reader will appreciate your effort!
Thanks, GeelKameel, helpful and appreciated!
The photos display better in the first post than in the subsequent posts of an RR thread (or maybe it's just my browser/view settings?), which is why I always now go the route of posting the report in the first post and editing that if need be.
Just to check: can you see the full pictures (without expanding them) in the reply posts to the Braai Run RR?
Zanie, you are right, the comments have less space so the pictures end up a bit "cropped", regardless of your browser.
