Adjusting lever angle on GS1150

Morning folks, quick question if I may:

I'd like to adjust the angle of my bars upward as I'm a long armed, lanky type.

Doing this obviously puts the levers at an uncomfortable angle. Reading around it sounds like there'ws a self tapping screw that holds the position.

Am I correct in assuming there'd be no way to alter position without drilling a new hole for this?

It sounds to me that you need handlebar raisers. They are very effective and makes a world of difference to your comfort while standing.

The idea of a self-tapping screw does not sound healthy....

I've done what you are trying to do. There is a screw but it doesn't do what you think. Just do it.

Also, don't drop your levers to point downwards. The engineers who designed the bike one what they were doing.
