Why is it always about the people which make our trips in South Africa SO GREAT?? Is'nt it.: This was taken at the waterfall we normally swim in on the way to Wupertal
Arriving a little later than Geoff had planned, gave us the most amazing sunset over the Eastern entrance of the Cedarberg.: It was truely breath taking.
Saturdays advanced ride led by Geoff had 11 bikes and one pillion. Well done Tian. Around 400km's. Anticlockwise around Wupertal: Geoff was plagued with an initial side stand switch problem and then later was thrown off his mount dislocating his ring finger on the second joint. This is worth mentioning as even good riders like Geoff have offs. So have the enamas and get back on the bike
The foots prints made it difficult for a decent forensics audit to be concluded. I always like to see what caused the crash so that I can rather learn from others miss fortunes. Sorry!! My opinion is that Geoff over cooked the corner comming in too fast causing his him to loose traction on the front when trying to slow down. Conclusion>>>>>>>>>> Slow in power out!!
What a picture of Hein taking in the view from his precariouse vantage point over looking the falls.
A five minute unscheduled stop was enjoyed by the group over looking the falls
The road was long, dusty, hot and possibly a little boreing in some places only to find
your hart in your throat because of an over cooked corner. Funny this thing they
call life. It must deal the card personally before the lesson is learnt?
Yes you guessed it! One of four punctures in our group for the day.
I tell you that I "hate" tubed tyres.
n Boer, hy'd die plan gemaak.
Die Soutie hy'd die kikie gewat.
En ons het gewen. Bloody beautiful I tell you.
Back on the road, don't forget to replace that Tube.: Its the right thing to do!!!!!!
Thanks Warren for always being the one to offer. You're a good man.
Brings back horrid memories of HOT punctures in Australia.
I love this picture of Andre with the sceenery in the back ground.
Nice riding Andre.
Even the outlying towns in the Western Cape
were getting into the 2010 FIFA world cup groove.
Yes that place, no Geoffs place.......... I will not attempt to spell it.
It was a nice stop. Thanks Geoff.
The dams were flowing life back into our dry land.
It is always a nice feeling to see this as I grew up on a dry farm.
This is truely a wonderful land with even better people.
I'm so blessed.
On Sunday it poured but the sun shone the whole way home.
I was blessed with an amazing rainbow.
I paricularly like this one of Andre.
I know they always say there is a treasure at the end of every rainbow, but now I'm certain.
My pot of gold is my life and my bike.
I'm truely blessed to be alive.
Rusty would like to thank everyone for a fantastic week end.
