Enige opinies?

Colors
The original bike color options were red rock, desert yellow and ocean blue. Later the ocean blue was dropped and granite gray and midnight black were added. All colors were metallic except midnight black.

The seats and sidepanels were usually black. But any color bike could be specified with gray sidepanels and/or gray seats as a no-cost option at the time of purchase.

Thanks for the reply Garth. Mine is white with black seat and side panels, so most probably a re-spray. BMW could not see any accidents linked to the vin number though. I also have spoked wheels instead of the alloy wheels.

Is it common for GS owners to change the color?

yes - I've personally done it on two of my GSA's - one was yellow and I removed the yellow panels and replaced with a Dark Grey ... sold the bike with the original yellow panels.

Bought a red GSA here - used same original grey panels to do colour change again.

quite a few of the chaps in the UK have their bikes vinyl-wrapped - two-in-one solution that protects the original paintwork and also gives you a new colur - best is that it can easily be reversed

Agree with Goose. But mostly vinyl wrapping. I've done that with my 2004 GS. Vinyl wrapped the silver parts in black.

Wow the vinyl looks really good. Where did you get it done?

I removed the 2 panels myself and took it to Design your Sign in Goodwood next to N1 City Mall. Cost me R450.

But I guess any good printing place will be able to do that.
