What do you do with your old tyres. Yes I know the first answer will be  - throw it away.

But is there not a way that we can help fellow motorcyclists out a bit. I know that sometimes you are just in that pickle that you can not afford new tyres and you need a bit of a break.

I have these second tyres for free that can either be added to the clubs trailer if the club wants them or fellow bikers bike. They all stll have +- 2000 km of tread on. This should cover Mr average for about 2 months.

They all will fit a 650 as it came off one. 3 back tyres 130/70/17 and one front tyre 110/70/19.

If no one shows interest then I will dump them. Thought I can take a chance.

Is it dangerous to fit any second tyres on your bike?? Your normal wear and tear lot.

I would have no ploblem keep the tyres for club members at Supa Quick Parow.

I can also fit and balance same at no cost to club members. We also have a system to discard the unusables legally. In fact some members also leave their useble tyres here so I swop between onroad and off road tyres as needed

I have a number of old tyres that can either be disposed of, or donated to a pool of 1200 tyres for the needy Wink.  Heaven knows, I have been the recipient of used tyres from time to time and am happy to pay it forward.

I propose also that we make some kind of donation to Mike when using the service, as he has to store those ugly old things, and fitting takes time, effort and causes wear and tear on man and machine.  Typically, if I have to swap my Heidenaus for MPDs (when going on tour with Andyman Wink), I pay over R100 just to have the tyre changed.  I would be quite happy to pay that amount if I was getting a used tyre thrown in.

For those who stay in the southern suburbs. Bring your tyres to me and I will take it through in one go.

I stay in Kirstenhof close to the new Builders Warehouse in Tokia/Retreat area on the main road and even closer to Midmar Laughing also on the main road.

Address: 10 Chard road ; Kirstenhof. I am there after 4 pm each day or just throw it over the gate.

Last day will be Friday the 27 Jan. Will take it through on Saturday 28 Jan.
