This is a fantastic opportunity to take your riding up a notch.  Yes, this in on a race-track - No, it is not racing:

  • the racetrack is the safest place to learn to ride - no cars, no oil slicks, no road furniture to hurt you if you lose it, and instructors and marshalls and medical personnel.  It doesn't get safer than this.
  • you will learn to control your bike better, to corner properly, to brake and accelerate more effectively.
  • if the cost of this training saves you from just one small off you will have made back the time and money.

Such days are rare and precious.  You will have tremendous fun, and come out of it a better rider.

one just pitch on the day or must you pre-register?

Salim, your son is welcome, if he has a small bike I would recommend he remain in the beginners group for the entire event. Either way newcommers are placed in the beginners group.

We do not check for license, only interested in inproving riding skill.

Well done to you guys... Remember even though off-road techniques can carry over to the tar; the way they are applied is different.

Max,

Thanks for a great experience and all the tips...

...and yes have to learn to not regard the tar as being off-road...

Took pic of Cutie Pie's tire and can't believe could lean it that far over for a dual purpose tire..

Definetly recommnded for everyone...Even dual purpose tires can grip on tar...Even dual purpose tires can grip on tar...

Hi there,  is this open to anyone,  or only paid up BMWMC members?

And any bike brand.  Obviously there are limitations as to what will be allowed on the track (no enduro/MX for e.g.).  A normal roadworthy bike, or a track bike.
