My current SENA SMH5 Bluetooth helmet coms headset is now long n the tooth and has outlived all previous helmet coms-  and I have had everyone one the market over the last ten years.

I have had it for 4 years (or 145 000 kilometres).

The bettery which normally lasted four days before asking for a charge- using radios, mnusic and telephone.

so not surprised at all that after 145 000 km it battery life recently deteriorated down to 5 hours before needing a charge.

so I started to look ut for a new headset coms unit.

On an off chance I emailed Bike2Bike and by return learned that for near;ly 500 rond, I cou;ld get a new battery fitted.

Annie's headset has the same problem so I took  both in yesterday and in the time it took to chat to Kashiem and catch up n some news, left 15 minutes later with both batteries changed and with charge.

And my headsets are good for another 4 years.

I'm so relieved you can replace almost every component from headphones to mic and now to batteries.

Respoect.

Bought a battery for my Interphone F4 from Kashiem two weeks ago for R350. The unit is now back to the normal hours of communication.

The Interphone F4 has served me well for many many years for my needs.

Thanks for posting Andy - this is good news. I also use one of these units and always comment to friends that, of all the add-ons that I have bought for the bike, this was the best money spent smiley
