Wind Deflector

I have a 2006 GS1200 with a standard screen.

The buffeting was so bad i researched about fitting a retro fit deflector to my screen. And i had seen the Aerotrim one used a lot.

I made sample from Tin plate as i suspected it was a bit on the small side.

When i tested it it worked Ok'ish.

I then decided to develop my own deflector screen and designed nice fully adjustable  brackets. After 6 months of testing and tooling i have released the AreoGlide wind deflector.

Works a treat on GS1200 and KLR as we did extensive testing to find the best size and shape of the system and and keeping it looking good.

Search for "Aeroglide" on Gumtree.

Price is R400 as a special to get these to people at an affordable price.

I am also interested in seeing see some photos of a fitted screen. I assume you wil have to drill holes in the existing screen to attach?

I saw the item on Gumtree after receiving the message to have a look.  It also looks to me that holes are required.  Something I am not too keen on doing, maybe there is an alternative mounting?

Will it work on a 650?

A club member Willi von Borstel has purchased one last week so will be posting some pictures and feedback on the AeroGlide.

I will forward that to all when he has completed the installation which will include some Photo's.

The screen is a "bolt on" product so does require 4x 4mm holes to be drilled.

There is 3M clear VHB tape supplied for test fitment before the mounting holes are drilled.

Tape only is not recommended due to safety reasons.

Any feedback from Willi on this product?
