W/Cape GS Trophy Qualifier (WCGSTQ) 17 Feb 2018
The GS Trophy regionals are one of the highlights at the annual BMW GS Trophy SA event.
Each region is represented by three riders who compete in a series of skill challenges. The team takes part at the GS Trophy 2018 in Montagu (9-13 May 2018) for prizes and most of all bragging rights for a year. 
The first step in this journey is to participate in the regional qualifier. Country Trax (an official off road training partner of BMW Motorrad) and Donford Motorrad Stellenbosch will host the regional qualifier on 17/02/2018 at Donford Motorrad Stellenbosch.
The course is designed to minimize damage to your motorcycle and risk of injury to rider. The exercises are based on the intermediate off road riders ability.
We encourage ladies to participate in this event, too. The Ladies will be scored separately.
The entry fee will be R950 per participant. Bookings are now open. 20 entries can be accommodated...already 14 entrants...its going to be fun...
Spectators are welcome to come join and support the riders and get a taste of what the GS Trophy is all about. Please diarise!! no charge!!
We will have motorcycle related & food stalls on the day.

We calling on some lady riders to enter for this event. As long as you have a GS....650 / 700 / 800 / 1200. Will be fun to have some pretty faces to show some steel....
We have already received 18 entries for the Western Cape qualifier. Due to time and space constraints we can only accommodate 20 entrants, so there are only a couple of spots left. Book online if you would like to participate:
Some of the contestants had a very vibey training day yesterday. They all excited and on the roll. They braved the heat to sharpen up their skills. Thank you to John Carr who assisted them instead of taking on a group of Lev 2's.
The W/Cape have indeed strong entries to cross swords with...please come and support the guys and girls while they will be showing their skills and steel.
It, for sure, going to be an intense and fun day.

BMW Motorrad Donford teams and Dirk Roets from Country Trax are on a high....getting everything for the WCGST qualifier contestants and the terrain in shape for the BIG excitement tomorrow......it's going to be SUPER FUN.
Come and support the Western Cape participants....we have a strong team competing for the top 3 spots for the official WC GS Trophy team to participate in the Nationals, Montagu, 9 - 13 May 2018. They will need your support and cameraderie. Bring your friends... There will be stalls ....take out food... drinks....music...the entry free....etc etc
Come by bike for an easy spot to park. Otherwise by car you have to park at the Square (Stellenbosch Square Shopping parking area)
Competition starts 09:00...be early for coffee and a good view !!
Don't forget your sunblock and/or a hat
