Can anyone recommend a place to stay in the VanRhynsdorp, Klawer, Vredendal area? B&B would be first choice. I have done a little trawl through Google, and there are some spots available, but was hoping to get a recommendation from someone who's been there. Thanks, Dale

Dale If you push onto Nieuwoudtville, that may be an option. Not only will you get to do Van Rhyn's Pass, but I can also recommend a great little B&B. Personalised service and Chris is also a keen biker - he has a 1150GS and regularly rides in the area, so may be able to show you some local spots. Hi Dale I was working up in Vredendal/Lutsville area last week and came across a stunning little BnB. Called 22 Nama Karoo in Koekenaap. Its owned by a Chef and his wife so very good food and lovely accomadation overlooking the vineyards. They keen to get into the biker industry so will be very happy to help you out. Here are the contact details: Doug: 027 2172223 email: doug@22namakaroo.co.za

Howzit Dale Last weekend I did the gifberg loop at vanryhnsdorp. On the loop you turn off to go to the ouberg waterfall you park the bike and then from the camp site (with cottages) you walk up to the water fall, lekker remote and little ponds to goof in. From what i saw it was very neat and tidy. Took their card and the contact numbers are Waterfall 0272191005T and 0272191142F. Maybe ill do a trip report but it seems like admin ... Regards Ralph
