1^st to 11^th March 2019

GS Bike Traders & Touratech Cape Town invites you to join us on an “Off Road” Dual Sport Motor Cycle Adventure Ride to the magnificent Transkei Wild Coast of South Africa.

The ride over 10 nights and 11 days will combine an assortment of good dirt road/track riding and also 4 rest days. The ride will be pillion friendly if you are an experienced rider.

All of our accommodation is booked on a DB&B basis with 8 nights being spent in the Transkei.

Along with Lesotho the Transkei is one of my favourite places to ride. I have been visiting the area for about 20 years and have watched it change over the years. It still offers some breathtakingly beautiful places to visit and stay.

Our itinerary is as follows:

• 1^st March : Leave Cape Town in the early Morning our destination being Willowmore
• 2^nd March : Leave Willowmore and head for and enter the Transkei and the start of the dirt roads. Proceed to our Hotel and check in. I have not stayed at this Hotel in the past so it will be new to me.
• 3^rd March : Rest day. Relax, walk on the beach, swim in the lagoon, etc.

  

• 4^th March : We depart our Hotel after a relaxed breakfast and head for our second Hotel arriving (hopefully) in time for lunch.
• 5^th March : Rest day. Horse riding is one of the main attractions here but there are other attractions to keep you busy. There will be a short outride for those interested to a very nice view site/photo opportunity.
• 6^th March : After another relaxed breakfast we will move on to our next Hotel visiting “Hole in the wall” en route.

  

• 7^th March : Rest day. Depending on group sentiment we may have a shortish outride or you can just relax at the Hotel.
• 8^th March :  We start heading back to Cape Town today but still have another 2 nights in the Transkei. Our destination today is another Hotel that I have visited before but never stayed over at. Because it is the “Wild Coast” it will be right on the beach.
• 9^th March : Our final rest day and I am sure we will find some things to do at the Hotel or in it’s vicinity.
• 10^th March : Depart our Hotel to Willowmore for our last night together.
• 11^th March : With a heavy heart we will head for home stopping along the way to say our good byes.

This invitation is open to all “Dual Purpose” motorcycle riders & pillions.  Maximum motorcycles 15.

Cost : R8600.00 per person Sharing DB&B add approximately 20% for your own room. Some Hotels offer lunch that is included in the price.

All participants will receive a Trip t-shirt so I will need your shirt sizes please when you book.

The deposit payable immediately is R5000.00. Please note that this is non refundable should you cancel. Should the Ride be canceled you will get your payment back in full.

Payment in full will be requested in mid February.
