This in Support of Two Wheel Training by Max

2004 I decided I want a R1200GS and ordered two directly from BMW  (first year the 1200 came out).Not having ridden for 37 Years  my eldest son Chris (R1 & R6 Fan) asked that I arrange for him to also have one and promised to ride with me on condition I go for riding lessons.

I Felt insulted but he assured me that in his opinion I new nothing of properly riding a Motorbike and bought a 500cc Honda Bros (waiting on out R1200’s to be delivered) and arranged for me to go for lessons with Max Lange.

To cut a long story short I learned that I thought I knew how to ride something that became very apparent to me when we later started Hamman Motorrad that as much as 60/70% of Motorbike Riders fell into that category  (Think they know how to ride).(that will include the Gents that wiped my Bike and close as Dammit myself  out in Sept 2005)

Max is a brilliant teacher with a wealth of knowledge (on Road) and club members and others can only “profit” from attending his training sessions.Directly after going for lessons with Max I booked with a fulltime Instructor who was great as far as helping  me to get my license (rode without one for years) BUT in my opinion he neglects to teach the most important thing(s) .

One other thing ; The Bigger BMW’s with the Telelever System in my opinion are far more safer Bikes to ride than the smaller BMW’s and other Makes.(something to talk about ??)

Support yourself and make use of excellent Training by Max and at very reasonable Cost.

Lastly Training to ride Any Vehicle should be Compulsory .
