All aspects regarding off road riding techniques will be attended to en-route on this day outride.  Sufficient stops will allow the trainer/s to demonstrate and discuss riding skills.  

This will be a relaxed ride and the focus will be to build confidence and to bond with your machines, in a safe environment.

Due to the popularity and success of this day held in 2017, the training team are excited to spoil u with another interesting and valuable training day. 

We will cater for a variety of activities in 4 different groups which will rotate.  Our goal is to improve your skills and expose you to several off road conditions.  Each group will have an 1 hour slot and move to the next activity.

After lunch we will entertain you with a gymkhana competition. We encourage you to take part in this event or to join as a spectator.

Costs: (coffee on arrival & lunch included)

R500.00 pp (non club members)

Put your skills to the test!!!   Adrenalin flowing and machines working...this the real McCoy why we ride.  Just join in the fun!!

Remember the training days are presented in a fun and relaxed way.  This day will take riders to a new riding skill level, but carried out in a safe environment.  Join us for lots of fun and training in a stunning forest/wine farm environment.  Our rules still apply:  you only do what you feel comfortable with.  Come and have fun on that GS and challenge yourself.

Other Dual purpose bikes also welcome.

Following a training site inspection, today, we found it necessary to postpone the 4 Disciplines training day with the predicted  heavy showers on the way.  Anura’s dams are rising and the training field is very wet underfoot. The dry dam we normally use is water saturated and not possible to cross.  With more rain on its way it will not be possible to ride there or to experience the fun we normally do.  

This is all done in the interest of safety and looking after your expensive machinery.  What a pity to postpone!!  Very disappointed ourselves. BUT we are very grateful for the blessed rains.

Please accept our apologies for this decision.  A new date will be determine asap.  We will inform you soonest.  Please be in contact whether it necessary to arrange a refund or to keep your payment in credit for a future event.

Thanks David.  Yes it was a very successful event last year.  The trainers are looking forward to make an interesting event again this round.

After a training site inspection on Thursday afternoon it was observed that the normal training areas we use were either under water and the ground very muddy and not usable from a safety point of view. It is the aim of the trainers to add value to a safe riding environment; to guarantee value for your money; safety first; to have fun; preserving the training terrain and to bond with our dream machines.

TAKE NOTE THAT THE TRAINING TEAM CAN ACCOMMODATE A LEV 1 GROUP ON THIS DAY: 30 SEPT 2018, DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND.

The training team decided to cancel this months training day as quite a group attended the lev 1 & Pillions while others attended the 4 Disciplines at last months day.

The next off road training day is scheduled for 2 DEC 2018. This will be the last off road training day for Lev 1, Pillions & Lev. 2, 2018.

Does anyone have more details on the training day 25 November?

This ALL TAR TRAINING DAY RIDE on 25 NOVEMBER will be for BMW dual purpose, street bikes and other brands.

This type of training day ride will appeal to those that are new to riding / feel the urge to improve their tar riding skills / those that commute on a daily basis / to be more street wise as the summer months on our doorstep.

The route we will follow will be mountain passes with both tight and long sweeping bends. The road we choose will cater for safe large stopping areas where we can stop, explain and demonstrate braking into a corner; leaning; where to look and body position approaching the corner; body position through the bend as well as exiting the corner; how and when to roll on the power to maximize a smooth exit.

The focus will be on: 

- rider confidence going through corners,

- keeping your line,

- looking through the bend.

- explaining wet road cornering,

- tyre pressures,

- high speed braking, explaining ABS and traction control …how do these electronic components work,

- how to overtake,

- safe distance and riding position behind cars,

- lane splitting, etc etc 

We will cater for  two groups:  a slower and faster group.

We won't be riding far, rather spend time on teaching, explaining and demonstrating which will be a good few hours.  A light lunch en-route will be for your own account. 

Costs:

Pillions are welcome: R 300.00 per couple for club members & R350.00 per couple for non club members
