Are there any BMW RT owners with the experience of either a touring screen for the RT or an Aerotrim [ small deflector on top of your current screen]? Are there any reliable companies in CT who can mould a touring screen?

Contact Freakonaleash or Beemerstyle. Beemerstyle had a touring screen made for his GT.

Hey [http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/user/padlangs Padlangs] (and others), It is good practice when referring to something that is on the web, (like my recent [http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/brenda-does-atlantis Atlantis Sand Dunes Trip Report]), to make it into a link so that the reader can just click on it to get more detail. [http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/how-do-i-make-link Here is how to do it.]

Lets try it. Contact [http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/user/beemerstyle Beemerstyle] THANKS Charles. It feels it bit wierd, but it is hardly difficult. :) Now lets just hope I remember how to do this next time.

Zoro, glad to see you on the forum. As you can see from my photo, we enjoy the same type of riding. Hope to see you on a breakfast run. This coming Sunday we are having a nice ride out to Dassiesfontein (between Botrivier and Caledon).

Thanx for all the info about the "touring screen" vs. the Aerotrim. About the touring screen...does a good job but can influence stability, petrol consumption, sometimes looks out of place and is quite expensive {R1000.00 to R3000.00!!] Bought myself the Aerotrim, fixed it to the screen and was as happy as a little laaitie with his first bicycle!!! Cost R400.00, very small, neat, light and very effective....can now ride up to +-140kph with an open visor, NO buffeting and remarkable less noise.....end of story, I am now the official agent for Aerotrim in the Western Cape.....any questions?? Ha Ha

Hi Charles, is it possible to send me a Photo of the screen on your bike? According to our technical guys, the 98 Funduro had one of 3 tipes of screens...a straight one, one with a lip on top or one with a "dent" in the middle, thanx

Hi Charles, thanx for the picture. According to the 'clever ones' the screen on your Funduro is very similar to that on the 1100GS, same angle and curves. So yes, they do have one for your bike [even with 100376km]!!!! If you decide to order please get in touch. Enjoy your day
