To TKC 70 or not
Greetings Earthlings. My Karoo 3 rear tyre is looking pretty sad and I need to replace it soon. I have been really happy with the tyre but I am considering trying out the TKC 70 due to most of my travel is commuting everyday into Cape Town. I get between 7,000km and 10,000km on the Karoo 3 rear with my GSA LC. I generally like to do an off-road ride at least once every two months. Lately its been move often. I don't spin the back wheel like most others and I guess that is why I get better mileage out of the Karoo 3's compared to others.
I would like to know if anybody here in W.C. has tried them and what their opinion is when comparing the tyre to others. What sort of mileage people are getting, puncture resistance.
Also, what about mixing Karoo 3 front and TKC 70 on the rear. I've done something similar before. I've run the Karoo 3 on the front with an old Anakee 3 on the rear just because I had the Anakee lying around.

I just had a similar dilemma, needing to replace my rear Karoo 3.
I commute but like to ride gravel most weekends, the TKC 70 looked a very nice tyre and I was very tempted, but decided to go with the TKC 80 opting for the more off road tyre ( I'm sure it's life will be a lot less) while keeping my Karoo 3 on the front.
Donfords were looking for some feedback on the TKC 70, so I guess they have not sold that many yet with it being new?
