Thanks Geoff for an awesome weekend! The ride was fantastic, the company was good. It's difficult to describe to someone else what the experience was like, that didn't do it themselves! But I think the photo's that will hopefully be posted soon, will speak for themselves. Looking forward to the West Coast trip!

A big thank you to everybody involved from the organisers to every single rider. The Stilbaai ride was memorable! Especially the ride back on Sunday, stunning twisty gravel roads and the scenery was spectacular. Here are some pictures I took… Spot the Pink ;-) http://corne.ygm.co.za/#080301-Stilbaai_weekend_ride Happy Days:) Corné Kloppers 0849130391 ckloppers@gmail.com

Neil found his new transport... rumour has it he will be trading in his 1200GS for the pink tractor! http://corne.ygm.co.za/#080301-Stilbaai_weekend_ride:DSCF1075.JPG http://corne.ygm.co.za/#080301-Stilbaai_weekend_ride:DSCF1076.JPG Corné Kloppers 0849130391 ckloppers@gmail.com

Good morning all, Firstly thank you so much for the call's, sms's and e mails received thanking me for the weekend. I assure you that it was a pleasure putting it together and it crowned by the stunning ride that we had between Stilbaai and Heidelberg. Also remember that you guys all make the trip I just ride out in front and stay clean. However a few thanks and congratulations from my side. 1) To Brian for leading the road guys it seems that you guys had a great time. Please forward this mail to your group. 2) To the lady riders, Belinda who fell at the beginning of the ride but picked herself up and rode the entire route. To Hannelie and Dalene to do the entire ride two up takes courage and competence, well done ladies. To Renette the "Rocket".............What can I say. From somebody who complained before the ride that she could not stand on the pegs and could not ride off road. Gee did she show us a thing or two. 3) To all the wives and girlfriends that came along thank you so much for joining us and I sincerely hope that we see you again often at both the Club meetings as well as on our regular rides. 4) To the long suffering Neels our back up driver/mechanic/barman/chauffeur. Dankie my maat vir al jou bystaan! It is never really easy setting out these routes but I do hope that you all enjoyed the variety that we rode. Some information from my side: 1) For those of you that have not yet attended the off road rider/pillion course I have two places left. The training is well worth while and at R640 per couple is a steal. Date 15/3/08 at Nelsons Creek Wine Estate just outside Wellington. This includes Tea/coffee and Muffins/scones on arrival as well as lunch. Let me know if you are interested. 2) ATGATT-All the Gear all the Time. You guys and girls "MUST" get yourselves protective riding gear. Jeans just don't do it. I plead with you to scratch the money together and kit yourself and your pillion out in proper crash helmet, boots, pants and a jacket. Feel free to contact me if you want advice or shop options. Upcoming events are: 26-28th April, Anysberg Nature Reserve. Only camping options left. 14-16th June, the unforgettable West Coast. Sleep 2 nights virtually on the beach in an old divers cottage. No mod cons here just great fun and riding. 29th July to 11th August, this is for the real Adventure rider, 11 nights in Hotels riding the Wild, Wild Coast. 3500kms. An unforgettable experience. 2 places left. There will be other rides in between. For those of you that are unaware of the BMW Club Forum go to : www.bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za and click on Forum. Then join in. Thanks again for your company and hope to have you on another ride with the Club soon. Regards to you all, Geoff. 0828078130.

Hi Geoff Please tell Neels it was me waving on the Dakar coming up the Highlands Rd just before Arabela. I gave him a big wave which he then returned looking very confused. Regards Charl
