Archive of BMW Motorrad Club Cape (2006 - 2019)

Today after work, as I usaully do, I took my ST 800 off the main stand onto the side stand and switched the bike on. Without checking I started the bike and was propelled forward with the bike and summersalted onto my arse.

Once back on the stand and checking this time could not find neutral and was forced to start with the clutch in and stand up.

For the next 10Km there was no correct digital gear indication or neutral to be had.

My distance home is 40Km and this seems to have rectified wahtever.

My question is why, any technical option?
