Blyderivier (Molatse) Canyon - the 2nd most photographed geographical feature in SA, after Table Mountain

This week we feature a big gravel pass in Mpumalanga that ends close to Bourke's Luck Potholes and the Blyderivier Canyon. Check out the videos and decide whether it's in or out of the big bucket?

We have plenty on offer in our news release today including a feature on water crossings 101 which is aimed at the novice rider and quite appropriate at this time when men do silly things on and off the roads!

Enjoy, the hyperlink remains open for 1 week

Damn, I lived in that part of SA for long and I never did Casper's Neck..

Read the advice given on water crossings and I wonder.... When walking through/testing the water I always keep my shoes/boot on. My reasoning - I reduce the risk of a possible injury (cuts/twisting ankle), and I tell myself that a pair of boots shoes are far cheaper than possible medical cost. My boots will get wet anyway. Also, if I injure myself will I be able to continue my trip?

I was fortunate to get up there in June 2016.  The road from the bottom of the pass through to Pilgrim's rest was pretty rough though - washed away in sections.

I took a bad decision in getting to Ohrigstad - via Steelpoort.  Bad tar road, lots of heavy trucks, smelly and probably one of the least attractive places I've been in SA.
