We also have an Avaaz.org link for those unfamiliar with Groupspaces.com, log on with the below link and choose the Avaaz option.

Click this link and follow instructions....its very simple

This request is and will be sent to every motorcycle club in SA as well all motorcycle FB pages of dealers.

Thanks guys

Ai Boeta, dis net so goed jy vra 'n visserman om rugby reels te vertolk.  Ek sal my vroutjie Marida vra om te help. Nietemin, ek ondersteun die proses.

I had the same problem as you.  I ckicked on the link after signing in and was taken to a page where I had to register to progress and then was stuck in a loop for changing my profile.

I soved the problem by clicking on the link supplied in the request, scrolled down to the bottom of the page that it opened and clicked on the link offered at the end of the line that mentioned AVAAZ. On the right hand side of that screen there is a place to type your email address, click on the register button just below that and you are done.

In response to the signing of the toll petition i am a little surprised at the lack of interest by bikers, the very people we trying to help, we have 113 signatures only and need 500 to make this a legal petition.

Bike SA magazine has kindly published my article in the February edition so hopefully this will bring up the numbers. I also have the support/backup of Lachlan Harris, the national director of AMID (assoc of motorcycles importers and distributors)

Please guys tell your friend , family and even your enemies if necessary....i need all the support i can get in order to move forward.

Hi Steve, I think the process may be a little confusing and over complex. Following the link above you end up on this page.

Home Page

There is no "Avaaz link".

Clicking on hyperlink the "TO JOIN the petition click this link  and follow instructions." you get asked to Sign in to GroupSpaces or with your Facebook account. People are naturally cautious to sign in to 3rd party sites with their Facebook details.

Hence the reason I say the process is not "simple" nor "easy".

Why not just say, go to this link

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/petition/Petition_to_minister_of_transport_Mrs_Dipuo_Peters_exemption_or_a_drastic_reduction_in_all_toll_fees_for_motorcycles/?nrBhLeb

and enter your email address, name, country and postal code, and optionally tell us why this is important to you and click on SIGN.

Hi Kevin

Thanks for this but i have given the people two options if you click on the link. The groupspace is the first option, and those not familiar with groupspace, have an Avaaz option on the last line of the paragraph ...''link''

Personally i find it very easy and the Avaaz option is even easier.

I agree with Kevin. The process is not obvious and most people balk if it takes more than two clicks to get somewhere. I wouldn't have signed if I wasn't an Avaaz member already and knew the drill. If Avaaz is easiest, then supply that link only and make it a direct link. Don't dilute your impact between two websites/petitions. Just a thought.

Thanks for tackling this on behalf of all bikers. Smile
