Sometimes, the elegant simplicity of a windmill set against a South African backdrop can be as beautiful as the best scenery in the world. It's all in the eye of the beholder. If you've never heard of this pass before, it's not surprising, as this one is about as remote as it gets - nestled into a narrow kloof about 40 km south-east of Britstown in the Northern Cape, it's a 4x4 type of pass and although quite rough is manageable in any high clearance 4x4 or adventure bike. Watch the videos and decide if it's on your bucket list or not.

We unpack some of the history of this once prosperous and important town with famous figures like Dr. David Livingstone and the Moffats making an appearance.
