If you are interested, we need another 8 to make up a group of ten to do a practical day out in Bainskloof of map work
Orientation, using 1:50 000 scale maps, a hand-held compass and a GPS receiver.

If you are keen to learn a bit, demystify the ancient art of orientation by paper map, then respond to me.

We will meet at the Winelands N1 Engen one stop.

Time : 09H30
Date Saturday 31st August.

Cost: R0.oo = no cost

Ride through Wellington and buy some braai stuff at the Spar.
Then ride on to Andy's cabin on the farm in Bainskloof, just past Tweede Tol.

We'll do an hour of theory around a table with some maps and then do a short practical while the braai fire burns.
Then after lunch we'll do some more complex orientation and then pack it in and return home.

You will not have to miss any sport or club event.
