Rough and Ready Airhead road trip 14 till 17 January 2010! This is a first for this type of motorcycle, many of these stand under a blanket in the garage, time to bring these beauties out into the lime light! Only 18 places on this trip! Our link! http://www.roughandready.co.za/Eventscalender.html This trip is only for the BMW motorcycles nick named an "Airhead" Unless you have one of these sought after motorcycles you stay home! Day 1 Wellington to Williston. Leisurely drive up the N7 till we get the Vanrhyns pass, then we push on to our overnight stop where we can do our shopping in the local mall. Elmarie at the flying saucer will look after us till we get out of there the next morning. Distance for the day 515 km Day 2 Williston to Prince Albert. Through the Karoo and past the villages of Carnavon, Loxton, Victoria and Beaufort west we head for Prince Albert. Here we sample the olives and fall into the typical Rough and Ready fillet braai. Distance for the day 540 km Day 3 Prince Albert to Riversdal. Many twisty bits and valleys are traveled that day, about seven passes are going to be sampled before we light up the night life in our town of rest. Our hostess will not disappoint and make the hungry full and the thirsty, well we see! Distance for the day 457 km Day 4 Riversdal till Wellington. If you thought we used up all the twisty bits yesterday then wake up to this gem of a route. Home will be there to soon and the next trip to far away. Distance for the day 447 km Not one day camping, Dinner, bed and breakfast on every stop over! All luggage goes with back up vehicle towing a trailer for emergencies! Total distance for trip 1960 km. Rental bikes not available for this trip. Price for 4 day trip R1950.00 all inclusive! What is included? •A qualified tour guide and sweeper, •All routes available on GPS, mostly scouted and familiar to the guide •A back-up vehicle with trailer for emergencies, •The guide, sweeper and back-up vehicle driver are in radio contact (2 way radios) •Most tools to do roadside repairs, •Some spare tires and tubes, •Spare fuel, •Basic medical kit, Also included! •All accommodation, this trip all under roof, •All meals, except for lunches, •We do try our best to cater for vegetarians, Hallal, Kosher and others! Please give us some warning about your preferences! •Cooler boxes with plenty of ice for the frosties, we let you replenish your liquor and drinks on a daily basis as we go through a village.
