We also went through there. Unfortunately, they also pulled off a taxi and they were busy writing up an unroad worthy car as well. Other than that, yes it did look like they were there only to pull off bikes. It was planned to be on ALL the major roads. Motorcycle store in Parow started warning their clients about it, days BEFORE. It was actually peacefull on the long roads without a bunch of illegal speedsters. :) The cops were more than slightly uncomfortable with me taking photos of there actions. :)

I have mailed it to Charles, I am still experiencing problems with uploading pictures. I should have my 3G in a few days, lets hope that works. I have full confidence that Charles is working away in the back ground to trace the problem.

Have a look at the thread "Lazer and radar speed ....", there is a nice photo of the traffic department asking for donations for their Christmas tree. Could one get a get out of jail free ticket if you (skip the road block ticket) if you sign a debit order to their christmas fund?

I have a very dear friend in Cheetah country (go on tell me who is at the top of the rugby log at the moment?)who was stopped by a traffic official, the story goes like this: Friend to the copper "You know........ I have a brother who applied to the force to be a traffic official. The interviewing officer asked him what level of education he had achieved,Standard 1 or 2? and when my brother replied that he had passed Std. 2 the interviewing officer replied sorry son you are far to intelegent to be a cop." True story. Bum in the saddle, always.

Think before you ink.
