Good day lady riders

The 7th, annual, Ladies only, Rally in a valley, for the Western Cape will take place on the weekend 5 - 8 March 2020.  This year the Slanghoek Mountain Resort, outside Rawsonville, was identified as the venue. This is also the venue where the RITV was born.

The date needed to be adjust from the normal last weekend in February to the mentioned date due to availability and to accommodate the ladies rally exclusively. The main criteria for RITV is that the venue must be in a valley.  As per the request at RITV 2019 for some ideas for a new venue, all the suggestions were visited by the organisers.  Slanghoek Resort ticked all the boxes. The Slanghoek resort is nestled in the magnificent Slanghoek valley on the slopes of the Badsberg conservancy and forms part of the Breedekloof Wine Valley.  A symphony of mountains,legends and vines, twisty roads and loads of fresh air. 

This weekend is an opportunity to break away from the norm and join in the festivities and pleasures of giving back to less fortunate and needed charities;  to meet friends from other provinces and catch up; support the food stalls, enjoy the music, play some games and share in the cameraderie of the biking community. The BMW girls supported the RITV over the last couple of years and has grown to a prominent group.  The rally won't be the same without the finesse we add to this event.

After a meeting with Hermien to raise some concerns and to confirm certain issues, it seems that the organisers are more confident to make a success of the 2020 event.  Some fresh ideas, a different venue which our BMW girls have not visited, different approach, no competition between brands/clubs, fresh vendors and sponsors from the direct area, etc are some of the topics that's been discussed. 

The main beneficiary for the charity still is the Pioneer School, Worcester (School for the Blind). Organizations to involve them in the event are in the final stages.  Cancervive will be present at the RITV 2020, too

It's been confirmed that BMW Motorrad Donford, Stellenbosch, will be our back-up and support team....AGAIN.  We thank them for their support and loyalty to us girls in advance.  This is truely a special team to be associated with.

We will leave CT for a relaxed ride to Rawsonville on Friday (± 14:00) on 6 March 2020 for those that would like to ride in a group.  More details will follow closer to the event.  There will be other groups leaving CT too, so everyone can feel free to join whatever group suits them. Those interested to have an extended weekend, can arrive on Thursday afternoon and help to set up camp.
