Archive of BMW Motorrad Club Cape (2006 - 2019)

My BMW 650 Dakar Radiator has a slight leak (more of a weeping joint). R3050-00 for a new one (!), so Radiator King advised they could make a new seal for it, for approx. R360 excl. VAT. Apparently seals/O-rings are not available for this radiator.Bike only has 17,000km on clock, but is a 2001 model. Radiator King do not remove radiators, so suggested I do so myself. A QUICK look tells me it should be a relatively simple procedure. I reckon at least one of the side-panel needs removing. Can any forum members give me advice on how to best tackle this job, tips on draining the radiator, any info. at all would be greatfully received! Otherwise will get Atlantic Motorrad to do the labour, but they will still send it to Radiator King. thanks Chris.
