Please can a boff on this forum help me understand the fast idle or choke on the 1150's. Is it a fast idle or a choke, big differences. And what is the implication if like me you forget to re-set it off once pulling off and on your trip? I often arrive at the stop-go traffic and find my idle revs high and only then remember to set the switch off. Does it do anyting bad to the bike? Andyman, Yup, was me you saw standing up on the pegs in traffic

Andy, it is nothing more than a fast idle. It has no "choke" relation and will make no impact if you continue to ride with it out - you'll get a surprise though as you come to a traffic light and it feels like you're on the wire. Lawrence

Andy, this cable runs to a little box where the two cables are attached to a pulley where your throttle cable comes from. The pulley opens the fuel injectors via the two short cables. If your throttle gets a bit sticky, then you have to strip the box, guess what, its under the ABS pump. Good Luck. JR

Asked Shane Its a fast idle, forgetting it on should not harm the bike as it is not enriching the fuel mixture. I RIDE THEREFORE I AM!
