I have a lower spec,Gs.

love the bike but myself and pillion, need a few inches more height.

we could loose weight, but still need the clearance.

can changing of forks and rear suspension, give us the height?

Talk to your friendly dealer Al, I'm sure they will give you the answer.

Al, without meaning to be insensitive:  perhaps you and your pillion need a heavier spring.  Bikes are traditionally fitted with suspension springs suitable for a rider of 70kg.

You cannot compensate for the weaker spring by turning up the pre-load.  You must get a heavier spring.  I weigh 65kg, and when I was riding with a pillion and luggage, I needed a heavier spring.  I got it fitted a Martin Paetzold for around R1000.

Again, you cannot use the preload for this (or for many other things people say it is good for).

Thanks guy, upgraded spring, but due to it being the lower spec model.

it has shorter forks and the rear suspension is shorter.

this model came with lower sear standard.

i only found out after buying bike and he meaning of lower spec.i thought it had less accessories.

not a bike designed for shorter people.

we have raised a fair few seats (including my own 1150 GS seat) to give a fair few riders LESS of a knee-bend whilst seated - you are welcome to pop in and I'll show you what we have done - may make enough of a difference for your needs, and maybe not - but nothing ventured, nothing gained!
