Desperate for breakfast in Riviersonderend we tried a new place today: The Padloper Coffee Shop.  Julie had noticed the bold blue building on our way out, so we decided to try it.

Riviersonderend has a Shell garage on the Cape Town side, and Caltex on the other side.  In the middle between the two, at 20 Main Road, on the side of the road returning to Cape Town, is a blue double-storey house.

The breakfast of eggs, toast, grilled tomato, boerewors and thick bacon was very tasty and good value.  Julie had two coffees, which means it is good.

This has just become our new breakfast stop on the way to Plett.  We used to frequent Tredici in Swellendam.  The venue might make a nice breakfast or lunch venue for a club ride.
