I have a bit of orange refelctive tape left over from a trailer that I had put on to to comply with a new law/regulation about 2 years ago. I thought it would be useful to place some orange reflective tape onto the front forks, and possibly the back of the top box, BUT am thinking this tape is usually put onto the SIDE of vehicles for safety, and not the front or back, which are normally RED or WHITE (lites and reflectors). Any suggestions? Chris.

Hi Chris, I have put the tape on the back of my boxes and I have put some on my front forks. It not only helps with the visibility from the front but also gives some protection to the forks by reducing the pitting from stones being kicked up from the vehicles in the front on dirt. The feedback I’ve had is that it has increased the visibility of the bike at night.

I agree with Wayne (Gwaai) it does make a huge difference. Johan de Jager "It's all about the ride, nothing else"
